Amazon Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse: Everything We Know
On 15 October 2026 Amazon launched two small devices under its Bee brand: Bee Frontier, a $74.99 wearable you put on your wrist or clip to your clothes, and Bee Eclipse, a $99.99 card-shaped recorder that snaps onto the back of your phone. Both do the same core job. They listen to the conversations you choose to capture and turn them into summaries, to-do lists, reminders and longer-term "memories" inside the Bee app.
This is our master guide. Each section links to a deeper explainer.

What Bee actually does
Bee is not a voice assistant you talk to. It is a note-taker that listens to the conversations happening around you — a meeting, a doctor's appointment, a lecture, a family call to plan a trip — and writes them up afterwards. Amazon's own examples are mundane on purpose: remembering coffee plans, the details from a meeting, or that you promised to buy dish soap.
From one captured conversation the app can produce:
- a summary of what was discussed,
- suggested to-dos and reminders (Pro),
- entries in a rolling memory you can search and ask questions about,
- daily insights that spot recurring themes and suggest goals.

Free vs Bee Pro
Buying the device gets you summaries, recaps and 14 days of memory at no extra cost. Bee Pro at $11.99 a month unlocks unlimited recent summaries, to-dos, daily memories, a chat assistant, templates for lectures, care plans and brainstorms, the desktop app, and integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple HealthKit, Photos, Alexa+ and Amazon.com shopping. New buyers get 30 days of Pro free. Full breakdown: Is Bee Pro worth $11.99?

Privacy, in one paragraph
Amazon says Bee audio is processed in real time and then deleted — never stored — inside an isolated cloud environment it calls Bee Private Compute, built on AWS Nitro technology that Amazon says neither it nor Bee can access. Transcripts are encrypted with keys that your device creates and controls, and you can delete transcripts and summaries at any time. What Bee does not offer is any control for the other people in the room. Deep dive: Bee Private Compute explained.
Where Bee came from
Bee was a San Francisco-area startup whose first device, the $49.99 Bee Pioneer, was a small module on a wristband. Amazon announced it was buying the company on 22 July 2025, for an undisclosed price. Frontier replaces the Pioneer, which is no longer sold. History: From Bee Pioneer to Frontier.
Can you buy it in India?
Not officially, yet. As of 17 October 2026 there is no amazon.in listing and no rupee price. We explain the import route, the costs and the risks in Amazon Bee in India.
