Amazon Bee in India: Availability, Expected Price and the Import Route
Short answer: as of 17 October 2026, Amazon has not launched Bee in India. There is no amazon.in listing, no rupee price and no announced date. Searches for "Bee" on Amazon India currently turn up beekeeping supplies.
What would it cost to import?
At about ₹84 to the dollar, Frontier's $74.99 is roughly ₹6,300 and Eclipse's $99.99 roughly ₹8,400 — before anything else. A typical import adds:
- US sales tax, depending on where the forwarder's address is,
- international shipping through a parcel-forwarding service — lithium-battery devices sometimes cost more or are restricted,
- customs duty plus IGST, assessed on arrival and paid on delivery.
The landed cost can end up well above the converted price. Get a quote from your forwarder for the exact item before ordering.
The risks nobody mentions
- Warranty. A US purchase may not be serviceable in India.
- The app and Bee Pro. Apps and subscriptions are often tied to your store region. An Indian App Store or Play Store account may not see the Bee app, and Bee Pro billing may require a US payment method. Amazon has not said.
- Language. Amazon has not published which languages Bee transcribes. Hindi, Hinglish and other Indian languages are an open question, and mixed-language conversations are hard for any speech engine.
- Alexa+. Alexa+ has launched in India, but nobody has confirmed that Bee's Alexa+ link works with Indian accounts.
- The law. India's DPDP Act and workplace rules still apply to you. See Recording consent.
Should you wait?
For most Indian buyers, yes. An official launch would bring local pricing, warranty, Hindi support (hopefully) and app availability. If you travel to the US, buying there in person avoids forwarding costs, but the app, language and warranty questions remain.
We will update this page the moment Amazon says anything about India.
